Our guest is Mike Lord, a serial entrepreneur, business builder, and the Chairman and CEO of Stiltz Lifts.
Stiltz Lifts is a dynamic, innovative, and fast-growing privately owned business. It was the first to design a Homelift, a stylish addition to a home that allows people to move between floors easily as they get older. To complement the 3 years’ worth of Fastrack awards (2018, 2019 and 2020), it was recently awarded the Queen’s Award for Enterprise: International Trade 2020.
Mike describes how, as they have grown, they’ve changed the way they develop, communicate, and cascade their strategy. He shares with us how they started with a purpose that was just about the owners’ desires, but since then have been making this purpose a bigger part of how they operate. And, he has some unexpected advice for owners of privately held businesses.
In addition to his role at Stiltz, Mike is also a Non-Executive Chairman / Director of various other investments he has made, including Totalkare and Bubble Media.
