Our guest is Maddy Phipps-Taylor, CEO of Eva Health Technologies. Maddy outlines how being purpose-led helped her and the company transition through a period of significant change and shares how she went about building out from the purpose into the strategy and culture.
Eva Health Technologies serves NHS and other care settings with modern software tools to help capture and store health data with the aim to make better informed decisions for and with patients. The company’s mission is derived from a passion to make it easier and more satisfying to work in healthcare, at a time when it is clear that the post-pandemic pressures are becoming unsustainable.
The previously family-run company originally pivoted to address the medical records opportunity in the late 1990s, and experienced another pivot in 2020 due to new ownership, new leadership, a new strategy, a new name and a new brand.
Maddy sees her role is to derive positive impact through systems thinking and incremental innovation. She has experience in healthtech, health policy and health research, and uses these different perspectives to solve complex and ‘worthy’ challenges wherever she finds them.
